'tis another day..
yes. it's a monday n i haf no tuition n no jap lesson either. no jap lessons anymore unless i go for some private lessons at private schools which are suuuuper expensive the last time i checked. hm becos there's not enough people registering at the community centre, there wun be a stage 3 for jap lessons. shit i dun get my certificate and i'm not even done with the elementary stage. i hate doing things halfway.
hm. but anw now im officially free. i need to go down to the function room ltr to check out if i can bk the bbq pit downstairs on fri cos of my jc class gathering. they were planning to hold the bbq at one of my classmate's house, but i guess there was a change of plans. but other than gg down to ask abt the bbq pit bking, i dun haf much to do today le.
oh but i did borrow 9 bks frm the national lib - or rather, central lending lib (wat a horrid name la) - thx to the cards of terence and ben who helped me out since my bro's ez-link card had some prob. therefore i couldn't borrow more than 4 bks without his card. but terence and ben didnt borrow as many bks so they lent me their cards. :) so i've got to start reading them, i think.
hm i juz finished watching the oprah winfrey show. i reli do like it. it's kinda close to ur heart. it's not like some useless talk shows that dun make any sense nor impact to anyone. today's show was all abt.. hm let's juz say it was a all-men-are-jerks session. haha tastefully done, if i muz say so myself. but since im a feminist.. haha. there was this case where this lady got married to a super rich (and according to her - narcissistic) doctor and the whole marriage was a fairy tale for a whole 3 yrs. but then on the day of her 30th bd, when they were spending the day on their personal yacht, he suddenly took off on a jet. while she was slping. and he nvr came back, leaving her with a heapload of debts, including one of 6 million bucks. tsk tsk. and then during the show, a famous psychologist was invited to give her views.
during the interview, the woman who got cheated told the audience that she reli did love the guy but now tt things have come to this pt, all she wants is closure. then the psychologist almost shouted when she interrupted and told her that she can onli get closure frm herself and 'the circle of love' she has surrounding her, meaning family and frenz. becos to the guy, she simply doesn't exist anymore.
ouch.
the truth hurts. and according to the psychologist, becos the truth hurts, many pple tell lies to themselves and the pple arnd them and they'd rather get hurled into that certain realm of fantasy rather than to face the reality. hm. i guess tt's smth everyone noes ba. but here's one phrase i found amusing and original - 'when a guy sweeps u off ur feet, he sweeps u away frm ur life'.
sheesh. does tt mean tt women're nvr meant to fall in love? cos when u're in love, isn't it normal to be swept off ur feet? and mb sometimes, it's not so bad to swept away frm ur own life every once in a while.
poor women all arnd the world. but meanwhile, ashlee simpson's gg to a victoria's secret pajama party to perform but she's not gg to be wearing pajamas. oh and she's placing her 6 million house with a huge swimming pool in the backyard on sale. courtesy of entertainment channel (ET). interested, anyone?
the older sister jessica simpson speaks out and tells everyone on ET: 'i just wanna remind everyone tt i do sing.' yes, we noe. but it's hard to rmb tt when someone like her confuses fish with chicken. and not to mention buffalo and chicken. she has smth against chicken, tt's all i can say.
can't wait for grey's anatomy and desperate housewives tonight. hope i rmb to watch them.
