'tis another day..
i hate the world becos of its prejudices.
almost everything in the world is fake.
fake conversations. fake relationships. fake smiles. fake laughter. fake tears. fake personalities.
FAKE.
wht's wrong with being different? i'm different, and so is everyone else. but how can people accept their own differences with ease, passing it off as 'uniqueness' and others' differences as weird and of a different status as themselves?
i'll be frank and risk govt eradication. race issues. my brother asked me not once nor twice, 'why do you have so many indian and malay friends?' i dun blame him - at least he's being frank and genuinely curious abt it. the reason for him asking it is cos i haf haf a mix of frenz from diff races from both sec sch and jc. my best fren is nafeesa, this malay chick that isnt as malay-ish as she looks. haha ;) and i've got frenz like saira, june (short for juneeta), ben and so many other close frenz who are not chinese.
why? does being Chinese mean u're more superior than the rest? people always stereotype - and no offence to whtever i'm saying now cos i dun believe in it anw - tht indians are smelly and they cheat people's money and tht they're violent and hit their wives blah blah. but hey, so many Chinese have killed and chopped people's bodies (both women and children) up. So wht's really the difference? to me, all humans are savages. ALL. and we're all human. ALL.
and pls. even if it is true it surely has something to do with the way different people are brought up. right? i mean, if indian men in india really do abuse their wives, it must be becos india's a less developed ctry tht still thinks that women ought to stay at home and inhale chimney fumes all day. look at Singapore - so refined and cultured and so much so that there are still so many perverts lying around. my bra got stolen a wk ago, may i add. by gdness knws who.
and wht people say about malays. being dumb and tht only a minority goes to university. if u ask me, it's a stupid and obviously groundless thing to say. the recent top PSLE scorer had the highest score in all of Singapore's history - and it's by a malay girl. but i mean, who cares, right? nobody'll rmb tht. everyone'll rmb malays as the minority in university. i agree. it's true. there are very, very few malays in university, at least, in NTU. but tht may juz mean that they prob knw wht they really want to do by now, without wallowing in books and tests and exams. and as i've said before, it's probably the way they were brought up.
oh wells. but i guess if i never had frenz from other races, i might nvr would haf thought of such a perspective. yup. aftr all, my parents also think the Chinese are more superior than the others, and not to mention cleaner, smarter, better, nicer and i-dunno-wht-er. and some of my frenz and the people i knw, they might act like they're ok with it all, but it may all be fake.
